Sketch Challenge for Two Scrapbook Friends

Happy Wednesday!! For this week's sketch challenge I thought I would give you a little “end of the summer” inspiration but of course you can use the sketch for whatever theme you like!

I designed a simple sketch and you can add up lots of neat embellishments.

And here is my layout...

So what do you think?
I hope you will play along on our forum and show me your take on the sketch!

Friendzy Friday for Two Scrapbook Friends

Good Morning, today is my turn to do a Friendzy Friday for Two Scrapbook Friends.  When I did my Design Team project; a circular chipboard album by Echo Park last month.  I wanted to show you how to place insert photos in the album.

The Echo Park Circular Chipboard Album comes with three chipboard pages with interactive pull out tabs; two metal jump rings.

First of all, check out my DT project on my blog post dated on July 23...  and find out how I did with the oval template.   Once you have the template ready, place in the oval template where the tab is located.   Then draw lines at the top and bottom edge of interactive pull out tab.

Place the template at the edge of photo. See the close up below.

Using the photo pencil to trace the template and cut out the picture

Be sure to add wet adhesive on the interative pull out tab (not on the back of photo)
Slide the photo under the insert circular first, then push back to fit the curve tab.

2012 Olympics Challenges at Two Scrapbook Friends

Con't......

Olympic Challenge #7: Jayne's True Colours Challenge

We are just half way through out Olympic Challenges here at the Two Scrapbook Friends forum! So far we have had some amazingly inspiring challenges.

Jayne's challenge - true colours.

Let's see what I created.

Olympic Challenge #8: First, Second, Third Place Challenge

Christa's  challenge;  the Olympics are all about placing in the top three: First, Second and Third place.   Her challenge to you is to scrapbook your top three... top three movies, kids, husbands, places to eat out, vacations, drinks... you make it your own winning combination!

Olympic Challenge #9: Isn't It Iconic?

Today's great Olympic Challenge is by Ann.
When you think of England, many things come to mind: the royal family, a nation of tea drinkers, Shakespeare, etc. Your challenge is to think of something classically English and translate that onto your layout, card or project.

Olympic Challenge #10: Water, Water, Everywhere

Joanne's challenge for you today involves water! Swimming is one of her all-time favourite Olympic sports to watch.    So, her challenge, is create a project that has something water-related as it's theme. (i.e. swimming, boating, washing the car, bath time, a day at the beach, etc.)

Olympic Challenge #11: Sharlene's Modern Pentahlon Challenge

My challenge to you is that you make a layout using 5 different techniques on your layout. Please list them when you post it!

I focused on five current hot trend techniques.

WASHI TAPE
HEXAGON
CHEVRONS
BANNERS
HAND STITCHING

Come back tomorrow for  Olympics Challenge # 12

Hey Mom, Privacy Please!

I know, I know that I may be a bad mom, but I couldn't resist the facial expression of my DS when I took some pictures.    No question, I had to scrap!

I thought this sketch #220 of Creative Scrapper would be perfect for these photos.  I used two photos instead of one.   I also wanted to do challenge of Amanda's over at Two Scrapbook Friends.  When growing up, my mom always said to me, gray clothing can go with any colour and even today, I taught my boys, if you don't find any colour that go with your pants, grab a gray shirt.

Today it is my turn to do Crafty Challenge for Two Scrapbook Friends.

I’m addicted to Thickers alphabet stickers. I just love all of the possibilities with Thickers. I can’t walk past Thickers alphabet stickers without throwing them in my basket at the scrapbook store.

I love that they .....

are dimensional,
comes in different mediums (chipboard, foam, puffy etc),
are in a variety of colours,
come in a variety of fonts
and are always on trend.

For this challenge, I want to see you using Thickers on your layout.

I would love to see you using some thickers on your layout with.    Be sure to share your layout in the forum and in the gallery as well.
